What are your areas of interest in research?  New treatment techniques, side effect management

Would you describe yourself as a ‘novice’ or ‘experienced’ researcher? Novice

Why did you get decide to get involved in research? I like to know that I am helping make a difference for patients and their experience throughout the Radiation Therapy department

Who encouraged you to get involved in research and who do you go to for advice when you need it?  My clinical manager, I initially was a bit reserved about getting involved since I am newly graduated but she encouraged me to involved from the get go

What sort of activities/studies have you been involved in? Head and Neck tumour stream group which focuses on this particular group of patients to help identify aspects of out practice we can improve on to thus improve our patients care

What do you enjoy most about being involved in these research activities?  Knowing that I am making a difference to the patient’s overall experience

What has been your biggest challenge or barrier to being involved in research? Limited experience, skills and knowledge as I am a new graduate

What one piece of advice would you give other researchers who have never been involved in research before? Just do it
