Would you describe yourself as a ‘novice’ or ‘experienced’ researcher? Novice

Why did you decide to get involved in research? I was sponsored by work to attend an international vascular conference
and I then had to present feedback. In doing so I have become interested in reducing radiation doses in our hybrid theatre. I would like to conduct research in this area.

Who encouraged you to get involved in research and who do you go to for advice when you need it? Colleagues at work

What sort of activities/studies have you been involved in? I studied research methodology when I upgraded my diploma to a degree and then had a peer reviewed paper published

What do you enjoy most about being involved in this/these research activities? Enhancement of knowledge and studying a subject in depth

What has been your biggest challenge or barrier to being involved in research? Time and family commitments

What one piece of advice would you give other researchers who have never been involved in research before?
Start slowly with something that interests you greatly
